We are saved by grace through Faith in our Lord Jesus Christ -Ephesians 2: 8-9

Our good works cannot save our souls.

Grace is a free gift received through redemption that is in Christ Jesus

2 Corinthians 5:17 shows us that our old sinful nature was nailed to the cross with Christ Jesus, and the new life that we live now should be spiritual and unselfish.

Galatians 5:22 -23 highlights the fruits of the Holy Spirit. The power of the Holy Spirit empowers us to be a fruitful Christian.

In John 13 : 34, 35 Jesus commands us to love one another, so the world will know that we are his disciples.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 

Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  

It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

No one is perfect. When we trust in our Lord Jesus, we will be transformed by the renewing of our mind, through God’s word, God’s love and by faith.

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Happy New Year!

We have stepped into a new year. The old has gone and the new has come.
Our Lord God has promised us in his Word that he is making all things new.
In the book of revelation, chapter 21 versus five we read these words

Behold, I am making all things new.

When we trust in our Lord Jesus, we can let go of the past and hold on by faith to what is yet to come.

Abide in Christ

Continuing the study of Book 1 John,

John in Chapter 2 verse 24 writes,” Let what you heard from the beginning abide in you. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, then you too will abide in the Son and in the Father. And this is the promise that He made to us – eternal life.”

By abiding in God’s Word – the Bible, and by believing in the Gospel message, we will be blessed with the promise of eternal life.

Believe the gospel message, For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

Abiding in Jesus Christ,

I’ve been reading the book of 1 John and studying on what it means to abide in Christ.

In chapter 2 of this book, John writes in verse 16, ” For all that is in the world – the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life – is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”

Whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Wordly and fleshly desires and pride of life do not go along with the will of God.

When we surrender our will to God and believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, He will reveal His will and purpose for our lives.

Whoever does the will of God abides forever.

Abide in Jesus

1 John 2:6 says, “whoever says he abides in Him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked.”

A believing Christian should obey God’s commandments and apply it by practically.

The Lord will guide you continually

and satisfy your desire in scorched places…

I hope this word of God strengthens you

and helps you in whatever situation or circumstance you are in

God is our refuge and our strength

an ever-present help in trouble.

Ps 46:1

Trust in Jesus and believe in Him and that He is above all things.

He is always with us to help us

To guide us

To give us good counsel

To strengthen us

And to protect us.

These words have echoed 2000 years ago and will continue to echo until the coming again of our Lord Jesus Christ.
